Neil Davies

Science Director

No man is an island... but we all live on one

Neil Davies, Tetiaroa Society Board Member and Science Director (Chair of Scientific Advisory Board), received his Ph.D. in evolutionary genetics from University College London and has conducted fieldwork across the Caribbean, Latin America, and Pacific Islands. He is currently Executive Director of the UC Berkeley Gump South Pacific Research Station in Moorea (French Polynesia) and an Associate Researcher at the Biodiversity Institute of Oxford University. His research focuses on biodiversity genomics, resilience, and sustainability in tropical ecosystems. He is Principal Investigator of the Moorea Biocode Project and co-founder of the international Genomic Observatories Network.
