Jean-Yves Hiro Meyer is a terrestrial ecologist and conservation biologist working in French Polynesia and other Pacific Islands for the past 30 years. He was hired as a research scientist at the French Polynesian Department of Research (Délégation à la Recherche de la Polynésie française) in 2002, and was its Director from 2014 - 2020.
