Interesting facts

This fish is a light brown-purple on top of which seven or eight thin brown lines run from the muzzle to the caudal peduncle. It also has translucent fins. In juveniles, the caudal peduncle is yellow with a black point. In adults it is dark. It lives in clear and calm water in sheltered reefs and lagoons. It eats small fish, worms, and invertebrates.
